News
Sad news. It's been a tough year. Musician Phil Guy passed away August 20th due to prostate cancer which had spread. He was diagnosed in January. I was his music manager for 3 1/2 years but a friend of his family and him since 2001. We were working on revising a manuscript I wrote specifically about Buddy Guy, to include information about Phil, too.
I will continue to move forward with that project.

Hello 2007!

Summertime in the City - Chicago is so much fun!

Dog Days of Summer and Welcome Back to School!

22-Aug-2007

Hello!

I hope all of you - parents and kids - teachers and students - and all book lovers and readers - have had a great summer.

It's been a while since I last updated my newsletter . . . my, how time flies! Anyhow, we've been busy downsizing and getting ready to move into our condo in the city of Chicago in November. We put our house in Naperville on the market in May.

I'm enjoying and working hard as Phil Guy's manager - promoting and booking him at venues in the U.S. and worldwide. We are hoping to have time in the near future to work on the book that we are co-authoring.

I will also be doing more school and bookstore visits with my book Elton the Elf. So, check out the events link to see where I'll be... Sept. 8 I'll be at The Chicago Kids Bookstore and More . . . come stop by!

And just some food for thought . . . Elton the Elf is a great book to celebrate the calendar year, the seasons and the holidays. It's a good gift for teachers, kids, birthdays, baby gifts. . . and you can order it from me, - just send me an e-mail - and I'll let you know the price, including shipping. It is very difficult to get in the bookstores.

All my best,

Lisa
